The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body had previously suspended the operations of the restaurant “Semo’s Mot,” owned by “Gevorgyan’s College” LLC and located in the village of Tsovagyugh, Gegharkunik region, due to unauthorized water abstraction without a water use permit. The business entity has since obtained the required water use permit from the competent authority. Accordingly, a decision has been made to lift the suspension.

The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body continues preventive actions against illegal hunting across different regions of the Republic. In the field area near Khanjyan village of Armavir region, an electric sound device connected to a battery, imitating the call of a quail, was discovered. The prohibited hunting device was seized and destroyed in accordance with the established procedure. Measures are being undertaken to identify the offender.

Today, Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB), met with the delegation led by Narek Grigoryan, Head of the Armenian branch of the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU).
