The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) intends to increase fines for dust emissions resulting from construction through legislative amendments. In 2024 alone, 103 violations of environmental standards during construction were recorded in Yerevan, with total fines reaching AMD 9.5 million. Currently, more than 300 multi-apartment buildings are under construction in Yerevan.

During 2024, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) conducted the following in the biodiversity sector: Inspections carried out: 5 inspections at 5 branches of “Hayantar” SNCO. Violations identified: 916 cases of legal violations, 13,013 illegally cut trees, and 3,778.5 cubic meters of illegally harvested timber.
