During intensified joint inspections conducted by the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the hunting season, a bird of the “Churak” species was found in the possession of V.S., a resident of Jermuk.
It was determined that V.S. had illegally taken the bird from the wild and was keeping it without the appropriate permit issued by the authorized body.
EPMIB inspectors seized the “Churak” bird and released it into the forests adjacent to Jermuk, ensuring its return to the natural habitat.
An administrative case has been initiated by EPMIB. V.S. will face an administrative fine of 150,000–200,000 AMD for keeping a wild animal in captivity or semi-captivity without the proper permit or failing to provide the registration data to the authorized body.
