Employees of The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body recorded a case of illegal water use at a car wash operating on a leased section of the specially protected area within the “Sevan National Park” SNCO.
The lessee, A.M., in violation of environmental legislation, carried out unauthorized water extraction from a deep well at his car wash without the required permit.
By the decision of the Head of the Gegharkunik Regional Division of the Inspection Body, the operation of the illegal well has been suspended.
An administrative fine of 1,000,000 AMD has been imposed on the offender.
