Illegal Water Use Suspended in Dzoraghbyur – EVNTEA

The Environmental and Mining Inspectorate received a report from the Eco-Paramedic Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations regarding illegal water use in the Kotayk region.

Within the framework of the administrative proceedings initiated by the Inspectorate, it was established that A.G., a resident of Dzoraghbyur village in Kotayk, had extracted water from an unauthorized deep well located on his land without a water use permit.

By the decision of the head of the Kotayk territorial division of the Inspectorate, the illegal water use has been suspended.

An administrative fine of AMD 1,000,000 has been imposed on A.G.

The offender has also been issued a claim for compensation for damage caused to water resources in the amount of AMD 57,600.
