Workshop “Road to COP 17” Launched

Today, Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Environmental Protection and Subsoil InspectorateMining Inspection Body, participated in the workshop launching the “Road to COP 17” initiative.

The aim of the event was to officially announce the start of the initiative in the lead-up to COP 17 and to highlight the implementation process of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Armenia.

The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Environment of Armenia and the American University of Armenia’s Acopian Center for the Environment, in cooperation with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
