The Environment Protection and Mining Inspection Body has dismantled an illegally installed pipeline in the area of the natural monument, the Karmir Katar Crater Lake of Mount Azhdahak, Geghama Range.
The measure follows reports circulating on social media regarding the illegal water extraction from the lake. An administrative case was opened to investigate the incident.
It was determined that the citizen T.K. had carried out unauthorized water extraction from the crater lake using the illegally installed pipeline.
The pipeline has been dismantled and confiscated.
Administrative and legal measures will be applied against the offender.
