EPMIB Supervision Results- in the Field of Water Resources – First Half of 2025

During the first half of 2025, the Inspection Body recorded 54 violations in the field of water use and protection.

Breakdown of Violations:

• Fish farming – 4
• Water use companies, electricity production – 14
• Activities and services of local self-government bodies – 5
• Production – 17
• Mining – 7
• Other – 7

Sanctions Applied:

• 36 administrative penalties
• Total fines imposed: 30,150,000 AMD

Environmental Damage Calculated:

• 253,574,874 AMD

Decisions Taken:

• Suspension of activities of 20 economic entities due to the absence of water use permits.

Result of Suspensions:

• Saved approximately 138.5 liters per second of freshwater, which equals about 4,367,736 cubic meters annually.
