In the first half of 2025, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia conducted comprehensive oversight activities within the Subsoil Use and Subsoil Protection Sector. The results are summarized as follows:
Inspections Conducted: A total of 46 inspections were carried out across various sites and entities engaged in subsoil use.
Violations Registered: 66 instances of legal violations by subsoil users were officially recorded.
Administrative Measures Taken:
Administrative Penalties Imposed: 27 administrative fines were issued.
Total Fines Levied: The cumulative amount of fines imposed amounted to 2,750,000 AMD.
Illegal Activities Detected:
Illegal Subsoil Use and Concealment: 87 cases involving unauthorized subsoil use and concealment of actual extracted volumes were identified.
Illegally Extracted Mineral Volume: The total volume of illegally extracted subsoil resources was calculated at 5,729,795.8 cubic meters.
Environmental Damage Assessed: The environmental damage caused, specifically to land resources due to unauthorized mining activities, was estimated at 68,292,149.1 AMD.
