Deputy Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, Mr. Vrezh Galoyan, participated in the official launch ceremony of a new decentralized wastewater treatment facility on the premises of Kindergarten No. 2 in Noratus community, Gegharkunik Marz.
The newly installed treatment system is designed to effectively manage wastewater by ensuring its purification and enabling the reuse of treated water for irrigation purposes.
This facility is expected to contribute significantly to the improvement of Lake Sevan’s ecosystem—an important step in the protection of Armenia’s largest freshwater resource.
The initiative was implemented within the framework of the “EU4Sevan” project, co-financed by the European Union and the Government of Germany, and executed by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
