Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan on a Working Visit to Syunik

Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan and his deputy Mr. Levon Levonyan paid a working visit to Syunik Province on June 6 to become acquainted on-site with the current activities of the territorial subdivision of the Inspection Body and with sector-related issues in the region.

At the EPMIB Syunik Territorial Division, Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan introduced the newly appointed Head of the Division, Mr. Narek Davtyan, to the staff.

For the purpose of preventing sectoral violations and improving the quality of oversight activities, Mr. Martirosyan issued several instructions, emphasizing the importance of acting in a coordinated manner and following clear mechanisms, as well as close cooperation with local self-government bodies and law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Martirosyan particularly stressed the importance of eliminating risks arising from conflicts of interest during work, and highlighted that the development of high professional skills and impartial work are among the foundations of a lawful, fair, and accountable state.
