The Environment Protection and Mining Inspection Body received an alert from a Facebook group about an advertisement offering a species of owl for sale or exchange.
Through administrative proceedings, it was established that a resident of Garni, A.A., was keeping a little owl (Athene noctua) without the necessary permit. The bird had been obtained from a bird market through an exchange.
An external examination revealed no injuries to the owl.
In accordance with the relevant procedures, the bird was released back into the wild within the territory of the “Jrvezh Reserve-Park Complex.”
