EPMIB Supervision Results 2024 – Water Resources Use and Preservation Sector

During 2024, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) recorded:

• 160 violations, including:
• 62 in fish farming
• 35 in electricity production
• 23 in food service, hotels, entertainment, and recreation
• 17 in water supply and water use
• 23 in other areas

Enforcement measures:

• 128 administrative penalties
• Fines imposed: AMD 68,500,000

Calculated damage: AMD 431,159,194

Activities suspended:

• 80 cases of operations without permits due to illegal water use

As a result of inspections, approximately 790 liters per second, or 11,000,000 m³ per year, of illegal water use was prevented.
