Today, the Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, held a year-end working meeting to review the results of activities carried out in 2025 and to outline the main directions and priorities of the Inspection Body’s activities for 2026.
The meeting began with a discussion of the progress in implementing the instructions issued by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, with particular emphasis placed on the timely and full execution of the instructions, thorough analysis of achieved results, development of strategies to address identified challenges, as well as the importance of prompt response and preventive measures.
Issues related to strengthening control mechanisms in the fields of atmospheric air protection, water resources, soil, biodiversity conservation, forestry, and subsoil use were discussed. Measures aimed at preventing illegal activities, as well as procedures for responding to citizens’ reports and opportunities to enhance their operational efficiency, were also reviewed.
Instructions were issued regarding the improvement of digital tools, strengthening of service discipline and oversight, and ensuring transparency in operations. The importance of continuous professional development and unified, team-based work was underscored.
The summary meeting concluded with the establishment of clear guidelines for actions in the coming year, aimed at ensuring the consistent implementation of state policy in the fields of environmental protection and targeted subsoil use.
