Employees of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body have identified violations at the mining companies “ZEPYUR-YEREQ” LLC and “ESEND” LLC operating in the Kotayk Region.
At the Jraber lithoid pumice deposit, “ZEPYUR-YEREQ” LLC operated a crushing and screening plant without obtaining a permit for the emission of harmful substances into the atmospheric air from stationary sources.
Similarly, at the Noragyugh andesite-basalt deposit in the same region, “ESEND” LLC illegally operated a crushing and screening plant without a permit for emissions of harmful substances into the atmospheric air from stationary sources.
By decisions of the Head of the Kotayk Territorial Division of the Inspection Body, the illegal operation of the crushing and screening plants at the deposits has been suspended.
Administrative fines have been imposed on the directors of the companies, and claims have also been submitted for compensation for environmental damage in the total amount of AMD 3,050,521.
