Professional Development of Future Geologists at “GeoLab. Environment of the Future”

Today, the Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, took part in the event titled “GeoLab. Environment of the Future”, organized jointly by the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University and the Kapan Mining and Processing Plant.

The event was dedicated to the one-year period of effective cooperation established between the parties and to promoting the professional development of future geologists.

Within the framework of the event, newly renovated classrooms equipped with modern technologies were inaugurated, the “Geo Lab” laboratory was opened, and the “Young Geologist” school was officially launched.

The initiative will play an important role both in enhancing capacities within the framework of cooperation between the Environmental and Subsoil Inspection Body and Yerevan State University, and in strengthening the linkage between the education system and the labor market. It aims to contribute to the training of competitive professionals, serving the development of a safe and sustainable environment.
