The Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, and Armen Babayan, Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Hydro-Engineering named after I.V. Yeghiazarov, have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing scientific, expert, and research capacities in the field of environmental protection and subsoil use.
The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions by combining the practical experience of the supervisory body with the scientific potential of the Institute.
The parties will cooperate in areas including hydrotechnical modeling, conducting research, assessing risks to water resources, and developing ongoing and long-term programs in the field of subsoil use.
The cooperation aims to ensure knowledge-based decision-making, enhance the effectiveness of supervisory and preventive mechanisms, and promote initiatives that contribute to the development of environmental policy.
