Responsible Official of the “Yerevan Waste Removal and Sanitary Cleaning” Institution to Be Fined for Waste Burning

Based on a video published today on social media showing waste burning by employees of the “Yerevan Waste Removal and Sanitary Cleaning” Institution, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body has initiated administrative proceedings.

In the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan, in an area adjacent to the North–South Highway, an administrative offense report has been drawn up against the sanitation team supervisor — the responsible person of the “Yerevan Waste Removal and Sanitary Cleaning” Institution — for burning household and consumer waste.

On the basis of the report, an administrative fine in the amount of 200,000 AMD will be imposed.
