During intensified air-protection enforcement activities carried out by the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB), 10 cases of burning leaves and stubble were recorded on November 27 in various regions of the Republic of Armenia.
Fire sites were detected in settlements of Yerevan, Ararat, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, and Lori regions, both through on-site inspections by inspectors and monitoring conducted using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Administrative proceedings have been initiated in all cases, and administrative penalties will be applied to the offenders in accordance with the law.
Air protection control across the entire territory of the Republic continues under a heightened enforcement regime.

Burning stubble, areas with plant residues or dry vegetation, as well as pasture and hayfield vegetation on agricultural lands, forest-adjacent areas, forest lands, and specially protected natural areas results in fines ranging from 50,000 AMD to 300,000 AMD under the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Armenia.
