On November 15, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body received a report regarding an injured bird of prey found in the Haghtanak district of Yerevan, and on November 16—another report regarding a lynx discovered in the village of Mets Masrik, Gegharkunik region.
Within the framework of the initiated administrative proceedings, it was determined that the injured bird is a Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), a species registered in the Red Book of Armenia. The bird was found with a damaged wing.
An external examination of the lynx revealed no visible injuries.
The same day, inspectors transported the injured falcon to the Rehabilitation Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Endemic and Endangered Species for treatment and recovery.
The lynx has been released back into the wild, ensuring its safe return to its natural habitat.
