On November 9, 2025, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) received information from the Foundation for the Protection of Endemic and Endangered Species regarding the discovery of a lynx cub in the administrative area of Bagravan village, Shirak Province.
During the administrative proceedings initiated by the Inspection Body, it was established that the wild animal had been found by residents of Bagravan village and was in a severely emaciated condition.
On the same day, the Inspection Body’s staff transferred the five-month-old lynx cub to the Yerevan Zoo to provide the necessary initial care and ensure that the animal undergoes an appropriate rehabilitation period.
